Previous comments indicated that the length setting was a little fragile and wobbled or came free during operation. I proceeded with the purchase as the advantages seemed to outweigh this negative aspect but in fact it has NOT materialised. The trimmer settings remain in place during operation and I am delighted with its performance.

I've had loads in the past but they tend to pull at my beard hair and is sooo annoying.I don't grow a beard,after a few days I use this trimmer to take it back to just stubble which I like as I don't clean shave either. This one cuts nice and close to the stubble length I like and I can go quickly aswell without it catching my hair or pulling at my face leaving it in pieces across the room. This one is heavy how it should be and sturdy,sleek looking and black and chrome is great in the looks department aswell. As us fellas or women will know it's important to have a good trimmer that does the job on the go. Also when it's charging the little blue LEDs go up and down when charging which is great if you like simple little things in life. I was really happy to have found this so babyliss are on point with this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by indwood111 from Best beard trimmer I have used so far. This is the best beard trimmer I have used so far. A problem in the past, is that a lot of my beard hairs are very flat, and not picked up by the guide on the trimmer. The BaByliss Super-X Metal Series trimmer does a great job with these hairs. The construction is robust, and comes with all the necessay accessories. The trimmer has two guide attachments, for different length beard lengths. I have used the one that cuts the shortist, as I aim for a cut length of 2-3mm. I found that the setting lever, for the cut length, would be easily be knocked during use, and would jump to another length of cut. But, once I realised this, with a bit of care, this could be avoided. Overall, a great beard trimmer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by SamRatty25 from Brilliant Beard Trimmer I always try to keep a good length of beard and with my old trimmer starting to give up I thought I would give this trimmer a go. So far it has been brilliant. It has a great handle which is easy to hold and an exceptional battery life, after using it 4/5 times there is still plenty of battery life left. It also comes with a stand which charges the trimmer at the same time which is also very useful and saves the need for wires or the trimmer lying on the top whilst charging. The blades themselves are sharp and cut through my beard very well and comes with plenty of attachments for all length of hairs. It leaves a close shaping trim when you take the length clips off and use just the blades. The only downside I have to this trimmer is the blades aren’t quite powerful enough to cut through a longer thick beard to a short beard in once trim. To do this I had to trim the beard down to a length in between and then trim it again to the length I wanted. However this isn’t too much of a problem and doesn’t take too much longer.
